Robusta Green Coffee Beans

Description

Robusta Green Coffee Beans
Indonesia Standard Quality Grade

Robusta Green Coffee Beans (Coffea canephora) are unroasted coffee beans produced from the Robusta coffee plant, a tropical species widely cultivated in Indonesia. Robusta is known for its strong body, bold flavor, higher caffeine content, and excellent resistance to tropical growing conditions, making it an important coffee commodity for both domestic and international markets.

ORIGIN:
Native to tropical regions of Central and Western Africa, Coffea canephora is now widely cultivated in tropical countries, including Indonesia. Indonesian Robusta is produced across various regions, particularly in Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Bali, and other suitable coffee-growing areas.

PLANTING:
Thrives in warm tropical climates, generally at elevations from lowlands to approximately 800 meters above sea level, depending on local conditions. Robusta grows well in fertile, well-drained soil with adequate rainfall and sunlight. It is cultivated using healthy seedlings planted in prepared soil and maintained through regular weeding, fertilization, pruning, and pest management.

HARVESTING:
Timing: Harvested when the coffee cherries reach full maturity and develop a deep red or reddish color. The main harvesting period varies according to the growing region and climate.

Method: Mature coffee cherries are selectively hand-picked or harvested using appropriate methods. The cherries are then sorted and processed through natural, washed, or honey processing. After processing, the coffee beans are dried, hulled, graded, and sorted to obtain high-quality green coffee beans.
